waking up in the yurt was like
waking up from a aspiration and obtaining
that you’ve been asleep in heaven the total time

and a dragonfly deftly zig-zags
a silently stitched pattern in the doorway
i watch you lying there,
nonetheless, but for your respiration
the rhythms of Mom Ocean’s tide
her very small rising and slipping even move
like the placid lake-water
lapping at the shore of this aspiration

bare devoid of handles
latticed daylight and shadow
cross around you like a kind-fitting internet
with an illusory visual appeal of bondage
which cannot maintain you now
speedy eye actions, fluttering wings
and toe-twitching desires

suddenly there is this dragonfly within me
who would like to hover earlier mentioned you,
shifting below and there, momentarily
wingtips caress the surface area
sending ripples all over the total
