Is "loading screen lore" a reason for rejection? writing

Is “loading screen lore” a reason for rejection?

I assume people think good worldbuilding should be delivered through the narrative and information should only be discovered or revealed by the viewpoint characters, but for inexperienced writers "loading screen lore" (I don't know the actual term for this) is a good workaround as we obviously haven't mastered worldbuilding yet.

(Also, I love the tidbits of information I do get in video game loading screens.)

So if I put in one to two short sentences of lore before each chapter (or every other chapter) would that be an obvious reason for rejection?

One of my characters is a historian. He will be reading a lot of books on lore. I had intended to use "excerpts" from those in some places to make it feel more natural and give the reader the impression of researching alongside him.
